                            Archie K. and Simonia E. Milton (ArSiMil)

  • Archie and Simonia are former music teachers in Orleans and Plaquemines Parish schools and now with Texas Education Charter Schools of Denton, Texas with a combined total of 93 years teaching instrumental and vocal music. We Love It!
  • Native New Orleanians who were dispersed(as a result of Hurricane Katrina) to Lewisville, Texas, 25 miles north of Dallas, Texas. "The land of our grandchildren".


  • The Milton's have produced three CD's entitled "Inspirations" and "I've Got Joy!". Their latest projects: a solo CD featuring Simonia entitled "Faith through the Storm" and a book; "She's Vocal/He's Instrumental: A True Story of Faith,Love and Music" debuted in October of 2011.
  •  They are members of Texas Christian Songwriters Association (Texas CSA),  American CSA  and actively minister in the DFW area. They are also members of CD Baby.


  • The Miltons have lectured and ministered on praise and worship and also taught music seminars. They have traveled to Honduras ministering at the National Baptist conventions in Guanaja, French Harbor and Roatan, Honduras.They were Psalmist at International Conventions in Arequipa, Iquitos and Lima, Peru. Were also blessed to minister in Sydney, Austraila at the United Church Conference. To the delight of everyone in those countries they sang gospel music in English and Spanish.


  • Simonia is a graduate of Xavier University(B.S.MusicEd.) and Loyola University(M.M.E). Additional graduate studies at the N.O.BaptistTheological Seminary and Xavier Conservatory of Music. Recipient of several music teacher of the year awards, "Artie" award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,  sang the National Anthem for the Lakers/Hornets exhibition game and also the Republican Campaign regional program.The Vanguard award from Matteh Foundation in New Orleans and was one of the selected women to receive the Woman of the Year from City Business Magazine of New Orleans. She co-authored a music supplementary text on Louisiana Music and Culture and was nominated to the National Teachers Hall of Fame and the Disney Teacher of the Year awards.


  • Archie is a graduate of Xavier University(B.S.Music Ed.). He completed additional studies in marching band at Vandercook College,Chicago,IL., Jazz Improvisation at Southern University at Baton Rouge,LA; religious studies- Word of Faith Bible College.Taught piano tuning  and repair to music teachers at Southern University at N.O.LA. He was the coordinator of the "Project Tempo All - City Cadet Band Program"- which was an Orleans parish schools Saturday band program opened to all students within the tri- parish area. He was an apprentice of Arthur Schoenberger at Xavier University through which he became a piano tuner/technician of which he has been a self employed tuner/technician for 48 years. He is president of ArSi records and Klanco publishing; was a recipient of the Cultural Ambassador award from Matteh Foundation for his contributions to music education and the music industry in the greater New Orleans area. Archie played oboe in the New Orleans Civic  Symphony and the Word of Faith Church Orchestra.

  • Archie and Simonia recently celebrated 50 years of marriage and are thankful to God for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon them. Thanks be to God for the great things He has done and still doing in their lives!
